Hacker's Happenings 2024

In an effort to cut down on the congestion and wait time on the first tee, we are encouraging players to set up their own foursomes and get tee times  earlier than the 11:30 start time...they will still be included in the CTPs, points, and snakes...I have made provisions at the pro shope to get your "Hackers Score Card".   You may still play at the 11:30 time if you so choose.

4-15   The Hackers opened the 2024 season today with very wet conditions.  We had 28 players scheduled to             play but due to the weekend rains, we only had 15 brave souls that weathered the wet conditions.  You             can check out the results under the Points tab.  But, as usual the beer was flowing.

4-17   I hate to say but the wet course conditions continue due to the rains but today we had 12 mudders out               there "having fun".   The BIG news of the day was that Walter Beatty returned to play...his first round               since the end of August 2023.   He played in the early group with May, Cober, and Black and even                    though he was not in the money, he still shot 85!!

4-24   Today was another less than ideal day for golf...cool and very windy...on the back nine, every hole                     played into the wind!!  It was a good day for our aging members...Dave Magill played his first round               after a total knee replacement this spring!  AND Layne Cober had the first Hacker eagle of the rhe                   season  on  #3.

4-29   Today was another eventful day.  Dave Blake scored the second eagle of the season on #3.  Also, with              the hot and sunny weather, the snakes (and pythons) were plentiful. With the $9 carryover from Friday,            the snake cup runneth over at $25!!!  Jeff May  said that's a lot of beer money.
